The Karnataka High Court on Monday directed the chief secretary to consider the representation of Advocates Association, Holalkere, Chitradurga district.

The association had sought to quash of the order issued by the department of Forest, Ecology and Environment for shifting the forest officers and staff from the quarters to the newly constructed PWD (public works department) guesthouse for facilitating the construction of a KSRTC bus stand in that area.

The divisional bench of acting Chief Justice H G Ramesh and Justice P S Dinesh Kumar disposed of the PIL filed by the petitioners.

According to the petitioner, the proposed bus stand that will be constructed near the quarters is close to the court complex. This will affect the everyday functioning of the court by way of air and noise pollution.
