BJP behind Hardik's sex CDs, says PAAS

The Patidaar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS), the organisation spearheaded by Hardik Patel, on Thursday  claimed that BJP leaders were behind the release of sleaze videos of  the Patel quota stir leader (Hardik).

"As per the information we have been able to gather from our sources, there are 52 more 'sex CDs' of PAAS leaders, with 22 of Hardik alone, that have been prepared by the BJP under instructions from Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and state BJP chief Jitu Vaghani. They have spent over Rs 40 crore to get these CDs prepared abroad and morphed images to show Hardik and other PAAS leaders," Dinesh Bhambaniya, a close aide of Hardik and a PAAS leader told mediapersons.

Dinesh also claimed  that BJP leaders were trying to frame Hardik by getting a woman to lodge a complain against him (Hardik) on charges of rape.

"They want to then lodge an FIR and put Hardik behind bars and defame him as has been done with Narayan Sai (son of Asaram who is facing charges of rape)," he said.

Hardik has been on the backfoot since early this week after videos showing a person looking like Hardik involved in sexual escapades surfaced . Though neither Hardik nor the PAAS is directly contesting the upcoming Assembly elections, his support is considered key for electoral fortunes of political parties in the state.

While he has openly said that his aim is to defeat the BJP, this episode is being seen as the ruling party's attack on him.

The PAAS claimed that all these activities are being carried out as the BJP is on the backfoot and has been unable to break Hardik despite police cases, including sedition, putting him behind bars  and trying to lure him with money.
