Taking serious exceptions to sewage being let into drains in the city, CMC President Shilpa Rajashekar said that action would be initiated against such violators.

She was speaking at the CMC meeting on Monday. "All the wards would be inspected. UGD connections would be provided to the households."Member Rooben Mones said "there are several such instances of sewage being let into the drains in Christian colony. There is a need for UGD facilities in all the 35 wards of the CMC. People should be allowed to link sewer lines to the UGD system." Member Shyamalarao said that Rs 1.5 crore rent is pending from the stalls owned by the CMC. To which, the CMC President promised to collect the pending rents at the earliest.

A member also urged the minor irrigation department to clean the rajakaluve at Kotekere.
