Rain plays spoilsport

Rain forced the cancellation of the match between Mangalore United and Hubli Tigers to be abandoned on the last day of the Hubballi leg of the Karnataka Premier League on Thursday.

When play was called off, Mangalore United who had chosen to bat first were 123 for two from 15 overs with opening batsman Karun Nair having played a blinder with his superb stroke making.

The right-hander had hammered three huge sixes and seven fours in his 47-ball unbeaten knock while KC Avinash (24 n.o.) was batting at the other end when the rains came down and played spoilsport.
