Party workers upset over cancelled roadshow

JD(S) state president Kumaraswamy, who took a chopper from Bengaluru to Shikaripura, was visitng the town for the first time this election season.

Having arrived four hours late, he headed straight to the historical Hucchuraya Swamy temple on the outskirts of Shikaripura.

Owing to his delay, he cancelled the roadshow, though people had lined up to watch him traverse through their streets on his popular 'Vikasa Vahini'.

Workers were heard ruing that the cancellation of the road show would be "damaging" to JD(S) candidate H T Baligar.
