HC adjourns Nityananda's bail application to June 8

When the case up for hearing before Justice Subhash B Adi, CID police probing the cases sought more time to conduct investigation.

However, Nityananda's counsel contended that there were no victims or witnesses in the case and it was admitted by investigating agencies.

After hearing the arguments of both sides, Justice Subhash Adi adjourned hearing of the case to June 8.

Meanwhile, a writ petition filed by the counsel against freezing of bank accounts of the four trusts of which Nityananda is a trustee, was adjourned to June 4.

The judicial custody of Nityananda which ended today has been extended till June 9.
Nityananda landed in a controversy in March after local TV channels aired purported video footage showing him in a compromising position with a Tamil actress. He was arrested from Solan in Himachal Pradesh on April 21.
