Addressing a press meet here on Tuesday, Mayor said action has been initiated for suspension of two more engineers, H P Chidanandaiah and T P Padmanabha. Criminal cases would also be registered against them. “Three reports are with us and all of them are holding him responsible. Now it is time for him to act with a sense of regret,” said the Mayor.

He appealed to the Congress leadership to decide whether Munirathna should stay as corporator or not. In the event inaction, he would discuss the matter with Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde and initiate further action. The Palike Commissioner Siddaiah who too was present said he would send all the reports to the police station and would ask the  police department to speed up of filing charge sheet against all the six persons- four BBMP engineers and two contractors including Munirathna.

He added that both the contractors would be blacklisted. Commissioner expressed his ignorance on removing Munirathna's name from the BBMP’s blacklist a few months ago.
The Mayor added that Munirathna's membership of the Council may be lost and all the works done by Munirathna would be reviewed thoroughly in light of the report submitted by the Lokayukta. He said he would discuss the matter with the Chief Minister and the group of ministers from the City.
