Zinnov Consulting Co-Founder & CEO Pari Natarajan addressing the conference said “India is evolving as top R&D hub for global majors. To keep the growth going Indian firms should concentrate on innovation, not only for India but for global market. Creating an excellent team and leadership is the key to sustain this growth.”

There is an urgent need for MNC R&D centres to focus beyond cost efficiency, he said adding many companies aspire to become global strategic partners. “The good news is that we already started witnessing this transformation,” he said.

In his keynote, Texas Instrument President & Managing Director Biswadip Mitra said “Change in mindset and networking with like minded people are key for India to continue its growth trajectory in R&D field. Our R&D team should try to understand the need of customers, then only we can grow up the value chain.” Understanding emerging markets, learning from experience will help India in transformation, he added. Panel dicussions on creating a market, sustaining product business, talent development and attracting and retaining talent were also organised.
