Kalasa bundh on June 21 to demand taluk-tag

Kalasa taluk Rachana Horata Samithi has called for Kalasa taluk bundh, demanding taluk status, on June 21.
In a meeting held on Tuesday, Kalasa Horata Samithi and other organisations flayed M B Prakash Committee for not recommending taluk-tag for Kalasa and opined ‘lack of political will is reason for dropping Kalasa from the list’.
The meeting decided to create an awareness through pamphlets and writings on wall on the need for taluk headquarters. On June 21, a procession will be taken out on the main streets of the town. It was also decided to hold a public meet at Sri Durga mantapa.
