The grand finale of the India International Salsa Congress was simply breathtaking. The hall was packed with thousands of people and everyone was dressed to the hilt for the night.

It was clear that people were eagerly looking forward to the event. The show was called Let there be light and was dedicated to all youngsters who had faith in their talent and wanted to dance.

The evening started with a performance by Richard Tholoor called The Hat, where the lead performers danced like puppets fighting for a hat. The performance was dynamic and enjoyable. This was followed by Sergey and Polina from Russia, who did a modern dance routine.

The dancers, dressed in white, performed some highly acrobatic stunts and gave a unique start to the show. The couple tango came next with Richard Tholoor and Minoti Ramachandran.

This event had four people dancing together. But it was the hot Rumba performed by Ricardo and Tianne which got the crowd screaming.  Eider and Luisa performed an enchanting salsa with the moon in the backdrop and that was a very beautiful sight. The salsa was slow yet very effective. One thing that was common to all dance performances was that you couldn’t take your eyes off the dancers.

The other salsa performances were intervened by small breathers by a mixed group of dancers, including children and adults.  Another performance that garnered a lot of attention was the hip-hop routine called And David danced with all his kids. While the performance had lot of people, it was a kid who stole the show and received much applause.

There was another salsa performance by Vitao and Stefania, which was no less than breathtaking. However, it was the tango by Eider and Luisa, which got everyone pumped up and which also received a standing ovation from the audience.

The crowd has only settled down when Zoe started her performance which was enchanting. Performing in the air with a hula hoop to the cover version of the song Clocks, she was splendid. And soon she was joined on stage by Dave and both of them performed numerous lifts effortlessly that only great dancers can pull off.

Since it was also the Independence Day, the stage was filled with dancers performing a group dance on Jai Ho bringing this three-day dance extravaganza to an end.
