Formed in 1982, the Choir has often used its music to support charitable causes. This year, all proceeds will be used in assisting the University with their scholarship programmes, which will support underprivileged students pursuing higher education. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Arthur B Pais, president of the Choir, said, “We’ve performed concerts to support healthcare, education and orphanages, and contributed to children’s heart surgeries and AIDS awareness projects. The first half of the concert, titled ‘Memories Are Made of This’, will feature 10 pieces.</p>.<p class="bodytext">It will include popular hits like ‘What a wonderful world’, ‘Tears in Heaven’, ‘I’m yours’, ‘Lean on me’, ‘Waka Waka’, and Broadway favourites like ‘Memory’ from ‘Cats’ and a lively ‘Footloose’ medley at the end, shares Pais.</p>.<p class="bodytext">From jazz to Broadway numbers and pop hits to ballads, the audience will be treated to timeless toe-tapping classics. The second half, ‘Remember the Cross’ is an Easter Cantata (a performance that depicts the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ).
