<p>Bengaluru: A nine-year-old boy has been admitted to the ICU of a private hospital in the city after a tree branch snapped and fell on him on Nandidurga Road on Wednesday morning.</p><p>The victim, Jaden Lucas, a student at St Germain Academy in Frazer Town, suffered a severe cut above his eye. He was riding a two-wheeler with his father, David, who escaped with minor injuries. He will be under observation for 48 hours," David said.</p><p><strong>'Act of god'</strong></p><p>Both the BBMP and the police have visited the site and gathered information.</p><p>A complaint has been filed with the JC Nagar police, but an FIR has not yet been registered, as the incident is considered an "act of god", according to a police officer handling the case.</p><p>"According to the police manual, such cases require a preliminary inquiry before an FIR can be filed. We will conduct an initial probe and decide on the next steps," the officer explained.</p>
