State election commission appoints Rajendra Kumar Kataria as roll observer

 The state election commission has appointed Rajendra Kumar Kataria, secretary, Department of Commerce and Industries, as roll observer to scrutinise electoral rolls of all Assembly constituencies in Bengaluru division.

Kataria will preside over a meeting in this regard at the IPP centre in Malleswaram on January 22.

A draft electoral roll was published on November 30, 2017, and voters can file objections to this till January 22, during the special electoral drive. The joint commissioner of elections, BBMP, has urged parties, MLAs and other organisations to make use of the drive, according to a press release.
