State-level sculpture camp inaugurated

A state-level sculpture camp organised by Karnataka Shilpakala Academy in association with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) was inaugurated at ‘Bangalore Haat’ near the Swami Vivekananda Metro Station on MG Road on Friday. Pradeep Singh Kharola, Managing Director, BMRCL inaugurated the camp.

Artists from Chitradurga, Uttara Kannada, Kalaburagi, Mandya, Tumakuru, Shivamogga and other districts, besides Bengaluru are expected to take part. K Prabhakar Rao, chief administrative officer, Bangalore Haat said they were planning to invite artists from all over the country in the future. Rao said they were also having talks with Karnataka Shilpakala Academy about organising  a stone, fibreglass and bronze sculpture camp in the years to come.
