In a freak road accident near Nagoor cross on the Belgaum- Raichur state highway, Chidri Shivananda Swami (32)of Bidar district was killed, while Siddalinga Shivacharya Swami of Ainapura, who was accompanying him was injured.
The accident occurred when the seers were returning after attending the centenary celebrations in Badami district’s Shivayoga Temple. Their car had broken down and he had alighted from the car, when a vehicle hit him and fled.
