Complaints filed over defamatory post on Jesus in Madikeri

Madikeri: The Kodagu District Roman Catholic Association and its units have filed complaints at various police stations in the district regarding a defamatory message about Jesus posted on Facebook. A case has been registered at the Madikeri Town Police Station.

The association's officials from the units in Madikeri, Kushalnagar, Virajpet, and Somwarpet have demanded the immediate arrest of those accused of posting these messages in their complaints to the respective police stations.

They have warned that protests will be organised in the coming days if no action is taken.

"The defamatory post about Jesus Christ has hurt the sentiments of Christians. The accused must be arrested immediately," insisted Johnson Pinto, the president of the district unit of the Roman Catholic Association.
