Foundation stone laid for PHCs, bus stand

Ravi said that work on all projects will be completed within two months. “There are plans of constructing bus stands at Kalasapura and Sakharayapatna,” he said.

The development work of Kadur - Chikmagalur highway will be taken up before the end of 2011 as a challenge, Ravi promised adding, “the power given to me by the people will be dedicted for the people only.”

He said that a representation of five MLAs from the district have already met Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and urged special package for the overall development of the district.

Rural research centre

“We have faith in Yeddyurappa that the Deendayal Rural Research Centre will be sanctioned to the district. The centre will be set up somewhere between Kadur and Chikmagalur. Initiatives will be taken to release amount equal to the Centre’s sanction for the development of Kadur - Chikmagalur railway line,” he added.
