Govt won’t spend anything on Disneyland, says DKS

Water Resources Minister D K Shivakumar reiterated on Thursday that the state government will not spend a single rupee on the proposed Disneyland tourism project near the Krishnaraja Sagar reservoir.

This came during a debate on delay in irrigation projects, especially the Upper Krishna Project. Leader of the Opposition B S Yeddyurappa told Shivakumar that the government should accord priority to irrigation projects and not the Disneyland project.

Shivakumar said the government was ready to have a separate discussion on irrigation projects in the ongoing Legislature session.
