‘Offer’ by Deputy CM D K Shivakumar, HM to 2 BJP MLCs to join Congress

Bengaluru: The Legislative Council on Thursday witnessed a lighter discussion between the members of ruling and opposition parties when Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and Home Minister G Parameshwara gave open offers to two senior BJP legislators to join Congress.

During the question hour, seeing BJP’s P H Poojar with the ruling party members, Shivakumar said, “I wanted to give him a ticket during the Assembly elections. He is always welcome.”

While replying to a question by BJP member A H Vishwanath, Parameshwara said, “Vishwanath was with us, and even now, he is with us. He has just changed his seat. Even when BJP people walk out of the Council, he will be seen sitting inside the House. This shows where he is.”
