Dyeing Master Krishnakumar explained about the role of various departments such as warping, weaving, dyeing and printing in manufacturing a saree. Sudha Murthy remarked that Mysore Silk has its own history and tradition. She said that the silk and other commodities such as ‘Nanjangud Baale’, ‘Mysore Pak’ and ‘Srigandha’ are still remaining due to the contribution of the Maharajas. Despite visiting the city several times, Sudha Murthy said that she hadn’t visited the factory.

Expressing happiness about her visit, she said that everybody thinks about buying a saree, but the difficulty and work involved in making the sarees can be known only after visiting the factory.

General manager Krishnappa, Puttaswamy were present.
