“We would like to reiterate that we have obtained all the necessary permissions as required by law,” the company said adding that as “responsible corporate citizens” they have “refrained from doing any work at the site since the matter is sub judice”.

In an order of recall dated April 15, a copy of which is with Deccan Herald, the MoEF said the environment clearance granted to Saravati Builders and Constructions — under which DLF is putting up its luxury township in Dabolim, south Goa — was being “kept in abeyance” for a re-examination of the project.

The River Valley-DLF Goa project was being marketed as Goa’s largest luxury condominium with 600 apartments, row villas and a mega clubhouse spread over 19 acres of riverside property.
A writ petition filed by the environment watchdog Goa Foundation stalled the project earlier this year.
