Parliament Highlights | Tribhuvan Sahkari University Bill, 2025 passed in Lok Sabha; both Houses adjourned
Hello Readers! The Parliament Budget session resumed today at 11 am with both PM Modi and LoP Gandhi present in the Lok Sabha. This came after the Speaker reprimanded him just before lunch hour commenced. On Tuesday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman responded to discussions on the Finance Bill, which was cleared by voice vote in the House yesterday. On a more combative note, Congress' Manickam Tagore submitted a privilege motion against Rijiju for remarks on D K Shivakumar. Rahul Gandhi, meanwhile, said that the LS Speaker 'ran away', 'denying' him a chance to speak. By the end of the day, the LS had passed the Tribhuvan Sahkari University Bill, 2025, while the RS passed The Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024. Here are the highlights from Tuesday.
