Music goes beyond words and it takes a lifetime to perfect it.

Abhilash Gupta, a trained Hindustani musician and guitarist, who has been performing on many stages, believes in it completely and says that there is no end to learning it.

“There are many genres of music and each genre is unique in itself. But one should never be bound by any genre but learn from different kinds of music to create something new and authentic.”

Abhilash is being trained by playback singer Manjula Gururaj.

Most of his time is dedicated to making music. Abhilash releases his songs on YouTube and it has garnered thousands of likes.

‘Dosti Mein Pyar’ is his official single video. The song talks about how friendship is the first stage of love. ‘Jashn Ka’ is another song by Abhilash and sung with Sinchan Dixit.

Besides this, he has done covers of songs like ‘Tera Bina’ from ‘Guru’. bhilash’s music is fresh and indigenous.

He feels that no matter how popular you are, training in a certain form of music and practice will take you higher and yield better results.

“I have learnt a lot from my gurus, there is constant feedback and constructive criticism which has ncouraged me to do better in music.”

Abhilash, who was a student of RV College of Engineering, says his passion has always been music and ‘now there’s no looking back’.
 
He has performed at various events in and around the City, a prominent one being the first edition of ‘Alive India in Concert’ organised by the band ‘Aurko’. where he sang with the who’s who of the music industry.

“It was a privilege to share stage with Bollywood artistes like Zubeen Garg, Nikhil D’Souza and Kunal Ganjawala.”

Abhilash has also worked with music directors like Mano Murthy, Ramana Gogula and Arjun Janya of the Kannada film industry.

Abhilash is also a song-writer and has produced short music shows.

He started a music production house called ‘Salt 'N Pepper’ with his friend Nobin Paul with the promise of original music.

The music house designs film score, radio and TV jingles, signature tunes, anthems etc. Their forte is sound branding, that is designing sound or music strategies for brands for effective communication of the brand message.

Abhilash has written jingles and theme songs in Hindi, English, Kannada and Telugu, and has been a voice-over artiste as well.
