Last Updated 16 February 2019, 19:15 IST

Vowing a “decisive fight against terrorism”, BJP will hold nationwide condolence meetings in “open public places” on Sunday in memory of 49 CRPF jawans killed in Pulwama terror strike.

According to the decision taken by BJP chief Amit Shah, party workers will hold condolence meets in all district headquarters and condemn the heinous attack, besides taking a vow to decisively fight terror.

The party has directed all its MPs, MLAs, public representatives and office bearers to be present and participate in these meetings, which will also record the presence of distinguished persons from the society.

Issuing a press statement, BJP media chief Anil Balooni recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that terrorists have committed a huge mistake by carrying out Pulwama attack and will have to pay a heavy price. He also quoted Modi and said India will finish terror from the root.

The press statement quoted Shah as saying that the Indian Army will give a befitting reply to terrorists and will “finish them” (safaya kar degi).
