Last Updated 25 July 2019, 10:58 IST

Bahujan Left Front (BLF) candidate Chandramukhi, a transgender and resident of jubilee hills, went missing since early hours of Tuesday.

Chandramukhi is contesting against BJP candidate Raja Singh and Congress strong man Mukesh Goud in Goshamahal Assembly constituency.

She went out of her house at about 3 am and did not return.

Concerned transgenders from jubilee hills area have filed a complaint.

They suspect that Chandramukhi might have been abducted by known persons. Jubilee hills police is investigating the matter.

"If elected, I will focus on the problem of child labour, which is prevalent in the constituency, and also ensure that housing scheme for the poor is properly implemented," Chandramukhi said on the day she filed her nomination.

Born male, Chandramukhi underwent a sex-change procedure 15 years ago and has since been living with the transgender community.
