Rajinikanth hits: From 'Muthu' to 'Petta'

Superstar Rajinikanth, a living god to his fans, celebrates his 68th birthday on Wednesday. The actor started off his acting career with K Balachnder's Apoorva Ragangal. Today, the actor gives his fans the best birthday treat with the release of the trailer of his upcoming movie Petta. The movie is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and also stars Trisha Krishnan, Vijay Sethupathi, Simran and Nawazuddin Siddique. The movie is an entertaining throwback to the kind of movies that he had previously done during the 90's.

 The actor has been famous for his Tamil blockbusters and has fans from all over the world. His venture into other film industries were short-spanned and during the early years of his careers. He has acted in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali and even English movies. On his birthday, we bring to you some of his hit songs in the past few years.
 
1. Muthu - Oruvan Oruvan Mudhalali
A song composed by A R Rahman and sung by S P Balasubramaniam, is easily one of the best songs from Rajinikanth's movies.

A song from one of the biggest blockbusters of all times, 'En Peru Padaiyappa' is an emotion to many Rajini fans even today. 

3. Chandramukhi - Devuda Devuda 
Just another one of his opening songs that glorifies workers, composed by Vidhyasagar and sung by S P Balasubramaniam.

4. Sivaji The Boss - Vaaji Vaaji
With Vairamuthu's lyrics and the magical voice of Hariharan and Madhushree, the song became a super hit. 

5. Endhiran - Kilimanjaro
Endhiran was one of the few Tamil science fiction films that performed well, directed by S Shankar, starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai, with music composed by A R Rahman. 

6. 2.0 - Raajali
The movie stars Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in lead roles with catchy music composed by A R Rahman. 

7. Petta - Marana Mass
The song Marana Mass from Rajinikanth's upcoming movie Petta has already gone viral with 397k likes on YouTube.
