After a lull, rains resume in Kodagu

Rains resumed in Kodagu district on Monday after a break of more than a week.
It rained heavily in Talacauvery, Bhagamandala, Sampaje, Ponnampet, Shanthalli and Srimangala. Bhagamandala received 3.6 cm rainfall in the last 24 hours.

The inflow into Triveni Sangama at Bhagamandala has increased.

Rivers Lakshmanatheertha, Barapole and Cauvery are in spate. The water level in Harangi reservoir stood at 2857.37 feet.  The inflow was 2,234 cusecs and 1,000 cusecs water was released into the river.

Intermittent rains lashed Mangaluru. However, the sky remained overcast throughout the day. Dakshina Kannada district received an average rainfall of 22.9 mm in the last 24 hours. Mangaluru received highest of 43 mm followed by Sullia (26.4 mm).

Shivamogga
Intermittent rains lashed some parts of the district on Monday. Hosanagar, Sagar, Thirthahalli, Shivamogga and Bhadravathi received good spell of rains early in the morning. Heavy rains lashed several parts of the district on Sunday night. In the last 24 hours, Mastikatte in Hosanagar taluk received rainfall of 42 mm, followed by Hulikal (40 mm), Yadur (37 mm) and Mani (28 mm). Water level in Linganamakki dam rose to 1782.45 feet against the maximum level of 1819 feet. The inflow of water was 9, 482 cusecs and the outflow was 1342 cusecs.   

Uttara Kannada
The district continued to receive rains on Monday. The coastal and Malnad regions of Uttara Kannada received moderate rains while there was intermittent showers in Haliyala, Mundagod and Dandeli.
