Ardent fan dies of heart attack as BSY resigns

An ardent fan of B S Yeddyurappa who was chief minister for 55 hours last week before resigning ahead of the floor test, died of a heart attack when he learnt that his icon had resigned from the CM's post.

Rangappa (45), who belongs to Jalapur village, Sirawara taluk, Raichur district, who was ailing from a heart ailment was in hospital.

When he learnt that Yeddyurappa had resigned from CM's post, he failed to respond to treatment and succumbed on Monday morning.

Rangappa, who collapsed on Saturday evening was rushed to hospital. He was a devoted BJP partyman who had worked hard for the party for a decade and had become identified as a Yeddyurappa supporter. A farmer by profession, he leaves behind two sons and wife.
