BJP has incited farmers as it is unable to digest the good work done by the Congress, Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara said Monday.

Parameshwara was speaking at an event to commemorate former prime minister Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary.

Parameshwara went to the extent of saying that the coalition government headed by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, was formed expressly to continue the programmes launched by the previous Siddaramaiah-led Congress regime.

“The previous Siddaramaiah-led government did much for the welfare of farmers. Unable to tolerate this, the BJP is inciting farmers against us,” Parameshwara remarked.
