CM Relief Fund gets Rs 5.5 cr donation in three days

The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Kodagu flood relief has seen a huge inflow of donations from various sections of society.

In just three days an amount of Rs 5.5 crore has been credited to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund account. While Rs 2.5 crore has been credited online, Rs 3 crore has been transferred through the digital wallet company, Paytm. Officials said that people from across the state, country and globe, had contributed to the relief fund.

The government has seen donations from various departments, corporations, educational institutions, film fraternity and other quarters, who have donated between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 1 crore through demand drafts (DD) and cheques.

S Selvakumar Secretary to chief minister said that the CMO has tied up with the digital wallet company Paytm to ease the process.
