MLA C T Ravi said that the Congress government is responsible for the rain havoc in Bengaluru city.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday after offering prayers to the deity at Hasanamba temple, Ravi said that the Congress government is responsible for the flood-like situation in Bengaluru.  "The government has failed to develop the city with a proper plan. The Congress government has looted Rs 700 crore in the last four years," he said.

Ravi took exception to Minister R Roshan Baig's offensive comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that Baig’s behaviour highlights the Congress culture. "There is no place for well-cultured people in Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s cabinet. People will teach a lesson to Baig and Forest Minister Ramanath Rai in the upcoming elections,” Ravi said.

When reporters asked about rumours that V Srinivas Prasad and C H Vijayshankar are quitting the party, Ravi said that BJP is a cadre-based party and the party has nurtured common workers as leaders. “One who is actively involved in politics will never quit the party for selfish motives,” Ravi said.

High Court Judge Ramesh, along with his family members, also had a darshan of the deity.
