Last Updated 26 January 2018, 17:55 IST

The residents of Brahmavar were in for a surprise on Republic Day as the students of Crossland College, under the aegis of Youth Red Cross and NSS units of the college, created a flash mob in the town as a part of anti-plastic campaign, a first-of-its-kind in this part of the coastal area.

The onlookers were busy recording the event in their mobile phones as they were watching it for the first time. The students of the college have been conducting awareness programmes by distributing hand bills and visiting houses in Chanthar.

As a part of the programme, the students presented a skit. Youth Red Cross Officer Jyothi and NSS Programme officer Girish Rao guided the students.

The faculty members of the college also joined the students.
