CRPF team visits Kodagu

The CRPF 105 Battalion team had visited different places in Kodagu, said CRPF 105 Battalion Assistant Commandant R Mahendra Rao.

After visiting the district on May 18, the team met Deputy Commissioner Dr N V Prasad, Superintendent of Police Majunath Annigeri and discussed various issues.

Rao said that he has visited various places in the last six days.

The main aim of the CRPF is to maintain peace and  take  up disaster management and address emergency situations, he said.

The Present CRPF 105 Battalion has its headquarters in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore and is operating in 14 districts in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and South Karnataka, he said.

“We visit important and sensitive areas in these districts once in two years and submit a report to the headquarters.”

RAF which is a part of CRPF 219 battalion has been involved in disaster management and handling communal violence issues, he said.
