Rains intensify In Kodagu

 As a result, Bhagamandala Triveni Sangama is inundated. The heavy rains has thrown normal life out of gear in Kodagu. For the use of farmers, 500 cusecs water was released to the canals from Harangi reservoir. In the last 24 hours, Kodagu district has received an average rainfall of 34.82 mm. Last year it was 77.78 mm in the corresponding period.

From January till date, Kodagu has received 1,754.62 mm rainfall. Last year, it was 1.301.51 mm. In the last 24 hours, Talacauvery received 122.60 mm, Bhagamandala 90 mm, Madikeri 55.20 mm and Shanthalli 62.20 mm rainfall.
