Singer Janaki to inaugurate Sahitya Sammelana

The sixth T Narasipur taluk Kannada Sahitya Sammelana scheduled to be held on February 26, at Talakad, will be inaugurated by singer S Janaki.

Tahsildar D Nagesh said, "S Janaki will inaugurate the stage programme in the presence of another singer B K Sumithra. The sahitya sammelana is held at Talakad after a gap of 30 years. The earlier sahitya sammelana was held in 1990 and C P Krishna Kumar was the president of the event."

Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat president M Raju said, "The event will be organised in a grand manner and the support of the officials as well as people's representatives will be sought. Sessions on the history of Talakad and Gangas period will be organised. The president for the event will be finalised in a meeting soon."
