Siddaramaiah to get cabinet rank?

The H D Kumaraswamy government is said to have decided to accord a Cabinet rank to former chief minister Siddaramaiah for his position as chairman of the Coordination and Monitoring Committee of the coalition government.

Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru on Sunday, Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara said, “There is such a thinking.”

Parameshwara also said that Cabinet ministers will shortly be assigned with the district-in-charge minister posts.

“The district-in-charge ministers will be named soon. Both the chief minister and I have been holding discussions over this matter. We are yet to decide whether the ministers should be assigned to their home districts or not,” he added.
