With the gradual easing of restrictions, more than two lakh people below the poverty line got two months free ration through the public distribution system in J&K’s Poonch. Amid Covid lockdown, poor people are finding it difficult to earn their livelihood. People thanked the government for supporting them in a hard time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 7 announced free ration to 800 million people till Diwali.
