Uttarakhand Rains: Death toll rises to 64, says Home Minister Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on October 21 informed that the death toll in rain-battered Uttarakhand has mounted to 64 and more than 11 people have been reported missing. “One of the two missing trekking teams have been located. Roads are cleared in Nainital, Almora and Haldwani. Power stations will resume operations soon. Mobile network has been restored in 80 per cent of the state,” said Shah after he conducted an aerial survey of rain-affected areas.
