"We are investigating around 300 tenders in irrigation related complaints. Amid the high political drama in Maharashtra and threat of 'poaching' of MLAs, the NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena have shifted their legislators to different luxury hotels in Mumbai. While the Congress moved its MLAs to the J W Marriott hotel in Juhu area, the NCP legislators were staying at The Renaissance hotel in Powai, sources said. Besides, the Shiv Sena MLAs are staying at The Lalit hotel located near the international airport here, they said.

Singhvi recounts the Supreme Court order in Karnataka case where protem speaker was directed to be appointed and floor test was directed to be televised.
Dr A M Singhvialso cites the Goa and Uttarakhand cases where floor test was directed to be held within specific period of time.
"In Uttarakhand case a "composite" floor test was directed between contesting political alliances. Same thing was ordered in Jagdambika Pal case," he says.
"If the floor test is ordered for tomorrow, larger issues may come back to the Supreme Court later.How is it possible for someone claiming majority yesterday to shy away from a floor test today.If floor test is ordered, it is not an invasive adversarial order at all," he asks the Apex court.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday claimed that the Sena-NCP-Congress combine has the support of 165 MLAs to prove majority in the Maharashtra Assembly.
Addressing reporters here, Raut alleged that Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari allowed the new government (headed by BJP's Devendra Fadnavis) to be formed on the basis of "bogus" documents.
He also said the deadline of November 30 given to the government to prove majority is only to enable defections.
"Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress can prove majority in flat 10 minutes," says Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut.
“We have said from the beginning that we have 170 MLAs support… Now, with five MLAs missing, we have the support for 165 legislators in our camp… Write this down," Sanjay Raut said.
The BJP on Sunday objected to the removal of Ajit Pawar as leader of the NCP legislature party, saying it was "invalid".
Pawar was removed as the NCP's legislature unit leader on Saturday, hours after he joined hands with the BJP in a coup and took oath as deputy of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
However, raising an objection to it, BJP leader Ashish Shelar told reporters here that Ajit Pawar's replacement with Jayant Patil was done at the NCP's legislature wing meeting where all MLAs of the Sharad Pawar-led party were not present.
"The letter of support to the governor was given by Ajit Pawar as leader of the NCP's legislature party. Pawar's replacement with Jayant Patil is invalid," Shelar said.
