A 52-year-old man who had tested COVID-19 positive, passed away in Pune taking Maharashtra's toll to nine - the highest in India.
Meanwhile, the total positive cases in Maharashtra stands at 215 on Monday.
So far, 38 persons have been discharged, the State Public Health and Family Welfare department said.
