BJP, Cong still shy away from women candidates
While Congress has given 28 tickets (14 per cent) to women candidates, BJP has only distributed 20 (10 per cent) tickets to women. After the withdrawal of nominations on Nov 9, a total of 183 women candidates remain in the fray in this 2023 Rajasthan Assembly elections.

NDA grand alliance fielded a total of 9 women candidate
The ruling NDA and the opposition grand alliance in Bihar had fielded women in less than a quarter of the total number of 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state and out of them, only three emerged victoriously. The three National Democratic Alliance (NDA) constituents BJP, JD(U) and LJP had put up one woman candidate each and all of them won.

Siddaramaiah non-committal on tickets for women
Bengaluru: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday remained non-committal on the number of women candidates the Congress will field from Karnataka. “I cannot say we will give 33% to women, but we will accommodate as many as possible depending on the opinion elicited by the local party workers,” he said during an interaction organised by Deccan Herald and Prajavani.
