China reported six new cases of the novel coronavirus on Sunday, three more than the previous day.
Five of the new cases, recorded by late Saturday, involved travellers arriving from abroad, the National Health Commission (NHC) said on its website.
One locally transmitted case was found in the southern island province of Hainan.
The NHC also confirmed five new asymptomatic cases, or people who are infected with the virus but do not show symptoms, compared with two the previous day.
The total number of infections in China, where the virus first emerged late last year, stands at 83,036. With no new deaths reported, the death toll remained 4,634.

Symptomatic COVID-19 patients who have "severe pneumonia" with a respiratory rate of 30 breath per minute should be considered for shifting to ICU, according to a clinical management protocol for adult patients suffering from the disease.
A COVID-19 patient with severe pneumonia also has an oxygen saturation level (Spo2) of less than 90 per cent, on room air, it said.

India has been making a steady recovery from COVID-19 but also reporting new infections at a faster rate. On Saturday, India reported its highest ever new cases – 9,887 in a single day – adding more than 9,000 cases for the third consecutive day.
The death toll due to COVID-19 also reported a record hike of 294 in a single day, taking the total fatalities to 6,642 since the outbreak was first reported in India on January 30.
In less than 24 hours, India surpassed Italy and then Spain to reach the grim milestone.
Now, only the US, Brazil, Russia and the UK are ahead of it.
The government also said private hospitals should not charge any fee over and above the fixed slab for treatment. According to a press release issued by the Health Department, private hospitals should not charge more than Rs 7,500 a day for those admitted in general wards, while the maximum amount to be charged in ICU is Rs 15,000 per day.
Telangana: The state's tally has risen to 3,496 with 206 more people testing positive for COVID-19 today. 123 people have lost their lives due to the disease so far.
Madhya Pradesh: MP recorded 232 cases of COVID-19 and 15 deaths today, taking total number of cases to 9228 and death toll to 399. 2721 patients are undergoing treatment.
Himachal Pradesh: Number of COVID-19 positive cases has reached 400 in the state. with over 200 active cases.
Haryana: The state added 355 more cases today taking the total tally to 3,952. 24 people have died of COVID-19 in Haryana so far.
Delhi: The national capital reported 1,320 new COVID-19 cases and no virus-related death in the past 24 hours. With that, the total number of cases stands at 27,654 out of which 16,229 cases are active. A total of 761 people have succumbed to COVID-19.
Rajasthan: The desert state added 253 fresh COVID-19 cases to its tally along with 13 deaths today. That takes the state's total tally to 10,337 and death toll to 231. 2,605 cases are active.
Jammu and Kashmir: 143 new COVID-19 cases & 3 deaths were recorded in the Union Territory today, taking total number of cases to 3,467 & death toll to 39. Number of active cases stands at 2,302.
Uttarakhand: The state reported 58 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases to 1303.
With that, the total number of cases stands at 7,738 with 4,236 active cases.

According to the researchers, including those from the National Cancer Institute in the US, the cancer drug acalabrutinib blocked the protein Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) in COVID-19 patients, and provided clinical benefit to a small group of them.
With that, the total number of positive cases in the state has risen to 5213 including 3184 active cases. The death toll stands at 59: State Health Department
The number of COVID-19 cases in the state now stands at 10,103 as on Saturday. Principal secretary, health, Amit Mohan Prasad said the number of active cases in the state was 3,927 and the number of those who have recovered and been discharged from hospitals was 5,908.

As India moves towards unlocking various sectors, COVID-19 cases have been rising exponentially with a jump of nearly 61,000 cases in the past one week, and medical experts feel that if the situation spirals out of control, the lockdown may have to be reimposed.
India saw a record single-day jump of 9,851 coronavirus cases and 273 deaths on Friday, pushing the nationwide infection tally to 2,26,770 and the death toll to 6,348, according to the Union health ministry. There has been a record spike in cases for three consecutive days now.

111 new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in the state today, taking the total number of cases to 1697, of which 973 are active cases: Pinarayi Vijayan, Kerala Chief Minister.
Uttar Pradesh recorded its biggest single-day jump of 496 COVID-19 cases on Friday, taking the state's tally to 9,733, while 12 more people succumbed to the disease, a senior official said.
With the fresh deaths, the toll in the state has risen to 257, said Principal Secretary, Health, Amit Mohan Prasad.
There are 3,828 active cases in the state, while 5,648 people have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, he said.
Prasad said a helpline was launched on Thursday through which ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist), anganwadi and ANM (auxiliary nurse midwife) workers and private pharmacists can inform authorities about suspected coronavirus cases.
"If anyone is buying medicines for fever and cough, private pharmacists can give information about them on the new helpline so that they can be tested and provided necessary treatment promptly," he explained.

The hurricane of COVID-19 in cities like Mumbai continues its incessant onslaught, with tragic heart-wrenching situations. For example, a senior doctor of 80 years fell sick with suspected COVID-19, with an oxygen (O2) saturation of 65 per cent (normal > 97 per cent). He and his son undertook the journey of their life, travelling all night with this life-threatening O2 saturation, as they were turned away from four hospitals. The doctor got a bed after much struggle, and finally succumbed two days later.

The railways said it has refunded Rs 1,885 crore to passengers who booked tickets during the lockdown period and whose tickets were cancelled.
The Indian Railways had suspended its regular passenger train services during the nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of the highly contagiouscoronavirusinIndia.
"As the trains were cancelled en masse, the railways faced the challenge to return a huge amount of money towards refund to the rail passengers.
"The railways has successfully refunded Rs 1885 crore towards cancellation of tickets to passengers during the period March 21 to May 31 on tickets booked through the online mode," the railways said.

Out of the four deaths, two were reported from Bengaluru.
55 out of the 257 new patients have interstate travel history and one has international travel history. The other 101 patients have history of contact with previously diagnosed patients.
Udupi reported 92 cases while Raichur 88, Hassan and Mandya 15 each.
As with the nose and mouth, doctors say the eyes may be a route of infection if someone with the virus coughs or sneezes nearby. Infection is also possible when rubbing your eyes with hands that have been exposed to the virus.
Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital doesn't give test reports on time. 70% of people are dying within 24 hours of reaching the hospital as their test reports come in 5-7 days. This is absolutely wrong, reports should come within 24 hours: Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain.
Recently, RML Hospital tested 94% samples as positive in a day, on retesting we found 45% of these to be negative. I have asked the Union Health Minister to fix this casual approach.

The Ultra Swachh comes in two variants namely Ozonated Space and Trinetra Technology. Trinetra technology is the combination of Ozonated space and radical dispenser. Treatment is optimised with automation for quick disinfection cycle.
